Housing Sustainment Officer – Family hubs

Job Details

Employer- Waltham Forest

Contract: Two-year fixed term

Location: Waltham Forest, Hybrid, Office based 2-days per week

Family Hubs

The Family Hubs programme is a new Government funded programme.

We want all families in Waltham Forest to have access to the services and the support they need; as well as fun and education activities within easy reach of their home, so we’re making sure our families are at the heart of everything we do.

Our new family hubs will be based in neighbourhoods offering families health services, employment support, creative play and parenting programmes

We know that families need support and activities no matter the age of their children and our new hubs will offer relevant support for different stages of family life

The family hub will be a one stop shop to access the support you and your family need, and will be available outside of the regular 9-5 hours

Are you passionate about services that support families? Then join our team!

We’re looking for people who are passionate about giving families the best possible support in their community, reaching those who have been previously under serviced and creating neighbourhoods where fun, creative and educational activities are within reach of all families

Our team has a shared sense of unity, support and community building at the heart of what we do.

We have recently developed our three year delivery plan and have the programme architecture and governance in place.  The programme is a large, complex and fast moving programme.

Housing

Waltham Forest Council is committed to reduce the risk of homelessness for residents, through a relational, preventative approach. The housing sustainment team will be at the heart of this process, supporting vulnerable residents to find and keep a stable home.

As a team, you will be proactively identifying residents at risk of losing their home, deliver tailored advice and assistance to them, building on their strengths.

You will work from a Family Hub, where wider support will be on offer for local residents. This means that you will be able to work collaboratively with other services such as employment or health, to deliver the best possible outcomes for families.

We are looking for caring, responsive and resilient people., who are committed to improve the lives of residents by ensuring people live in good quality homes.

This is a chance to make a real difference by tackling homelessness in Waltham Forest, and helping families keep a roof over their heads in challenging times.

We’re proud to work in our family hubs programme. Why not join us?
