The role
Dalmain Primary School is looking to appoint a Premises Officer to work 35 hours per week, 5 days a week to provide on-site daily premises management, effectively project manage, have an urgent ethos around all Health & Safety matters, and to provide general repairs, cleaning, painting and decorating services to ensure that the school is as well maintained as possible.
We are looking for a well organised, highly motivated, proactive and caring person to take on the role of Premises Manager and to oversee all aspects of the premises, health and safety, compliance and risk management including day to day management of the premises. The successful candidate will be able to work both autonomously as well as part of a team; have excellent communication skills with parents, pupils and staff; and who has the ability to effectively time manage and prioritise multiple tasks.

Role: Premises Officer
Salary: SO1 (£32,868-£34,062), according to experience and qualifications
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time, 52 weeks per year – daily hours negotiable to enable increased holiday entitlement

What we're looking for
The successful candidate will work as part of the Support Staff Team to enable to efficient and effective running of the school, and will have:-
- A love of children and a passion for making a difference to young children’s lives;
- Previous Premises/Facilities management experience;
- General maintenance skills including repairs, cleaning, painting, decorating and DIY;
- Extremely high standards and ability to find ways tackle tasks in a cost effect imaginative manner;
- Very good ICT skills to provide high quality reports / complete audits;
- Ability to relate well to children and adults;
- Ability to work constructively as part of a team, understanding school roles and responsibilities;
- Be able to use your own initiative as well as being part of a supportive team is essential as is commitment, drive and passion;
- Ability to review premises functions and systems.
