This post is directly responsible for planning, teaching, marking, assessing and evaluating courses and to delivering quality learning opportunities which meet the learning needs of students.
The post will be based at our new Brent Start Digital Skills Hub in Wembley Central, which has been developed to work with and for local communities and businesses to support the enhancement of their digital skills.
The postholder is expected to:
- make use of labour market intelligence and an understanding of local need to plan high quality courses that equip learners with the digital skills they need to progress in or into employment or to become more active citizens;
- plan and deliver a quality learning programme, which takes into account individual student needs, abilities, backgrounds and experience.
- use a variety of teaching methods and appropriate resources, to enable students to maximise their learning and develop confidence in their digital skills
- further develop the quality of the provision in support of the service’s ambition to become outstanding.
We are seeking someone who has a generic adult teaching qualification, preferably with a subject specialism in Information and Communication Technology. You will have experience of developing and teaching Digital Skills courses to adults within an Adult and Community Learning or Further Education setting. It is essential that you possess excellent communication and inter-personal skills and have the flexibility to deliver learning at our Digital Skills Hub, or on our main sites and community venues across a range of days and times.
