Regeneration Project Officer

The Regeneration Project Officer role is to assist in the delivery of the council’s objectives, specifically for the South Kilburn Masterplan Regeneration Programme and relevant supporting strategies, notably Sustainable Communities, Sustainable Tenure, Developing and Acquire Homes, Investing in Existing Homes and Customer Experience
A Regeneration Project Officer is required for large-scale residential development programme; the successful candidate will be involved in a variety of roles ranging from assessing, investigating and rehousing a caseload of households who are required to move because of an estate regeneration programme.
The post-holder will be required to do so within an agreed timescales to ensure vacant possession of land are achieved in accordance with the estate regeneration development program for the commencement of the procurement of developers and consultants, through the engagement with local residents and tenants at public meetings.
In short you will cover the full spectrum of responsibility for liaising with developers to ensure new properties are developed in accordance with need, administering viewings/offers, managing and administering removals and the entire rehousing process; dealing with all customer enquiries.
To be responsible for ensuring that the rehousing process is managed and reported in accordance with the Council's Project Management Systems with monthly reporting on programmes, budgets, risks and resources.
The post holder will be assigned specific patch and will carry out their duties and support the Estate Regeneration Rehousing Manager.
The audience will range from professional internal meetings through to Councillor presentations and public meetings with local resident and tenants.
The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of Ground 10A of the housing Act 1985 and other guidelines in order to develop and maintain knowledge of complex legislation, case law and government guidance concerning the Council’s statutory duties and maintain a working knowledge of related housing, property, immigration and family legislation.
You will need to be self-disciplined and show an ability to work under pressure to a fixed timeframe concerning the delivery to meet project milestones.
An ability to communicate complex issues in a clear manner will be a necessity, both verbally and in writing to internal and external parties.
