Run by Parents And Children Together (PACT), Alana House is a flagship community project that uses a holistic approach to support and empower women. We offer a confidential, women-only, non-judgemental space and welcome all women who feel they need help and support.
Alana House Reading opened in April 2010, adopting the recommendations from the Corston Report, which identified nine pathways of support and the trauma-informed approach needed to support women. We also provide outreach services across Berkshire.
Initially established to support women who had committed offences but were often victims of trauma themselves, Alana House has developed over the years to support all women with multiple or complex needs who are looking for support to help make positive life changes through individual keywork, group work, drop-in sessions, outreach, partnership with specialist agencies and partner agency-led courses and information sessions. We also offer counselling services to our clients with the most complex needs.
We are seeking a qualified and experienced self-employed Counselling Supervisor to provide Clinical Supervision to our qualified and trainee Counsellors. You should be a BACP Registered Counsellor or UKCP Registered Counsellor/Psychotherapist with experience of providing individual and/or group supervision and will hold your own Professional Indemnity Insurance. Ideally, you will also hold a qualification in supervision.
The time commitment would be approximately 2.5 hours per fortnight for group supervision with our 3 qualified/trainee counsellors. This includes telephone/email support between supervisions. You would also be required to attend progress meetings with the Alana House Women’s Centre Manager and other relevant PACT employees, which are held every 3 months (approx. 1.5 hours each). All supervision and meetings take place virtually on Microsoft Teams/Zoom.
Pay is on an hourly rate of £60.00. For further details on joining us as a self-employed contractor, and information on how to apply, please visit Self-employed contractors - PACT (pactcharity.org)
Closing date for applications: Sunday, 23rd October 2022
Interviews will take place online on: Wednesday 2nd November 2022

We look forward to hearing from you!
