Here at Brighton & Hove’s Electoral Services team we strive to develop processes that benefit our electorate and those administering them. We are seeking a committed, resilient and well organised team player to join our modern team in delivering a professional and exceptional service to the public. You will be responsible for delivering in-depth electoral registration and election processes and provided opportunities to improve working practices as we deliver safe election results and react to legislative changes.
Reporting to an Electoral Services Manager (Operations) you will be able to demonstrate good organisational, project management and problem-solving skills. Working to tight legislative timetables, you will be confident supporting other team members, adaptable to changing priorities and have a flexible and positive approach to delivering all functions of electoral services. You should be enthusiastic, positive and motivated with excellent IT and communication skills, together with an ability to organise and manage your own workload to deliver high quality work to strict deadlines.
The service operate a hybrid working model with officers splitting their week between home and our modern open plan offices in Hove. During busy periods, such as during elections, you will be expected to work predominantly from the office and undertake additional hours. This will include evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Annual leave may be restricted during busy periods.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
