Functional Family Therapy Child Welfare Manager Permanent position
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen with our Functional Family Therapy (FFT) Service in Waltham Forest. We are extending our clinical offer and a new FFT Child Welfare Team will be created, which will provide an adaption of the FFT model. FFT-CW and is an evidence based family preservation intervention, this will involve working with families with children between the ages of five to nine years old, where there may be concerns around safeguarding concerns and parenting challenges.
We are seeking one FFT-CW Manager, who is experienced and professional with an existing qualification in Social Work, Mental Health nursing, Counselling or Psychology. The role will involve having managerial oversight of a team of four FFT-CW Therapists, with the responsibility to implement and sustain the development of FFT Child Welfare Model within the borough. In addition, the FFT-CW Manager will be required to hold a small caseload. You will be trained in this model and receive continuous support from both the Head of Functional Family Therapy and also the National FFT Consultant.
In addition to having a professional background, you will be expected to have extensive experience, preferably with experience of FFT. You will have a proven track record of delivering highly effective work with complex families and in addition leadership qualities. We are looking for an individual with a genuine passion for engaging with families to support change and identifying ways of dealing with challenge.
