Health and Safety Assistant Adviser (6 month maternity cover)

With fantastic connectivity, huge investment potential and limitless ambition Waltham Forest is a great place to live and work.  As part of a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Team, who are transforming health and safety management across the council, you will report to the Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing. You will provide practical advice, guidance, support and training to managers and staff across the Council and in schools; helping to implement the health and safety policy and management system. To achieve this, you will have lead responsibility to provide support to one of our directorates, conduct premises safety and health checks including follow up visits support and where and appropriate run designated training session.  You will hold at least NCRQ/NEBOSH Certificate, or equivalent and be flexible with an ability to provide practical solutions and to influence change for health and safety issues.
