Lecturer in Horticulture
Bank hourly paid contract
Variable hours – hours to be confirmed
Hourly paid at £25.47 – £30.41 per hour teaching rate (depending on qualifications and expertise)
Based at the St Albans Campus
The successful candidate will teach Level 3 Horticulture, Garden Design to help students to develop skills to be a more senior worker or manager working in gardening, landscaping or groundskeeping, or to prepare for higher-level training.
To be considered for the role applicants need to have a minimum Level 3 Horticulture qualification (Horticulture industry experience can be considered if the candidate has at least a Level 4 qualification in an alternative subject)
The successful applicant will have experience in the Horticulture sector, and either be a qualified teacher or willing to work towards their teaching qualification. They will be enthusiastic and able to motivate a wide range of learners towards successful careers in the Horticulture industry. An ability to work in partnership with others and excellent interpersonal skills are also required.
