To lead on the strategic implementation and development of the procuring of properties for a wide range of uses including Private Sector, Temporary Accommodation, No Recourse to Public Funds and Children Services.
The post is flexibly located between office and home where office attendance is required at 50% of working hours.
As part of the role, you will be managing a team of Housing Supply Officers and Resettlement Officers responsible for successfully co-ordinating team performance, improving efficiency, ensuring staff meet their potential, ensure the service is fit for the future and ensuring the council are using all available stock in the efforts of reducing the use of temporary accommodation.
You will be expected to apply innovation and past experience to seek out improvements for a service situated in an ever-increasing area of demand.
You will have significant experience of working within the procurement of private sector and temporary accommodation and the ability to contribute to the Council’s Fairer Future Commitments.
A strong resolve and ability to move at a fast pace whilst making sure decisions are right first time are also key characteristics of the successful candidate.
This role is a fixed term contract covering a substantive post holder until 30th September 2023.
