It is a very exciting time for us at Ealing, we have appointed a new Chief Executive Officer and recently undertaken two diagnostics on preparing for change and Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. Our challenge as the People and Organisational Development department is to ensure we develop and embed the solutions that will have the greatest impact.
The POD Team Manager will manage a small team of internal training staff and external training and OD consultants), to provide corporate learning and development interventions to the council’s workforce, offering support on areas like induction, leadership, change management, digital skills training, personal development training etc. to enable the workforce to achieve the Council’s priorities as set out in the Council Plan.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the review of effective learning and development policies and strategies and ensure that these are linked to organisational priorities to help to build capability at all levels within the council to ensure service improvements.
Responsibilities also include the management and procurement of the council’s learning management system (eLearn platform), the training supplier contract and involvement in the implementation of cross council projects such as Hybrid Working, performance appraisals and values and behaviours.
This role is deemed customer facing and as such you must have a command of spoken English which is sufficient to enable you to effectively perform the role. This requirement relates to Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.
This role is subject to Ealing Council’s enhanced vetting process.
