Welfare Officer

We are looking to appoint a member of staff who will be the main first aider and contribute to the well-being of our pupils and the smooth-running of the school and assist in ensuring the safeguarding procedures are followed.

Have an up-to-date first aid certificate and must have experience of administering first aid.

The candidate must:

• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Possess the ability to work flexibly as part of a team and on their own initiative
• Have the capacity to undertake additional training related to meeting children’s welfare need
• Ability to work under pressure
• Enjoy working as part of a team with a desire to contribute and make a difference
• Have the ability to build effective relationships with children and families
• Be able to use their initiative and be a flexible team player
• Have a strong and focused work ethic
• Be committed to learning more about pupils with special needs and how best to support them
• Have the resolve and enthusiasm to make a real difference to the lives of pupils
• Be committed to an ethos of high expectations and a growth mind-set
• Have good knowledge of ICT ( including Google Drive, Microsoft Office)and recording keeping skills
• Attention to detail and be able to multitask
• Enjoy caring for and working with children
