Welfare Officer
We are looking to appoint a member of staff who will be the main first aider and contribute to the well-being of our pupils and the smooth-running of the school and assist in ensuring the safeguarding procedures are followed.
Have an up-to-date first aid certificate and must have experience of administering first aid.
The candidate must:
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possess the ability to work flexibly as part of a team and on their own initiative
- Have the capacity to undertake additional training related to meeting children’s welfare need
- Ability to work under pressure
- Enjoy working as part of a team with a desire to contribute and make a difference
- Have the ability to build effective relationships with children and families
- Be able to use their initiative and be a flexible team player
- Have a strong and focused work ethic
- Be committed to learning more about pupils with special needs and how best to support them
- Have the resolve and enthusiasm to make a real difference to the lives of pupils
- Be committed to an ethos of high expectations and a growth mind-set
- Have good knowledge of ICT ( including Google Drive, Microsoft Office)and recording keeping skills
- Attention to detail and be able to multitask
- Enjoy caring for and working with children
