Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.
The borough comprises many distinctive neighbourhoods with chic cafes and exclusive eateries, a rich cultural life and all the offerings of a London Council with the added advantage of easy access to relaxing green-spaces and open countryside.
We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the City.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic individual with the leadership skills to manage and motivate the Electoral Services team, ensure the Electoral Register is accurate and complete, and deliver Elections at Redbridge Council.
Applications would also be welcome from ambitious Deputy Electoral Services Managers with the drive and vision to become leaders.
As a key player on the Election Project Board, the successful candidate will work with partners across the Council to plan and deliver fair and efficient Local, GLA, and Parliamentary elections, and Referenda.
You will have excellent project management and leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering results under pressure. You will also deliver initiatives that encourage people to register to vote and participate in elections.
This post is a full-time permanent role, 36 hours per week. However, applications for part-time working will be considered.
