Hourly Paid £25.47 teaching rate / £16.47 per hour non-teaching
Variable hours / bank hourly paid position covering hours as and when they become available
Based at across the St Albans / Welwyn Garden City Campus & Borehamwood Campus
We are currently looking for Lecturers to join us on an hourly paid basis, although at present we have no confirmed hours, we are building up our pool of staff for temporary cover. This role is a casual ‘bank’ role with no set hours, the opportunity to work more hours to support the department during busy months and absences.
Appointed Lecturers will teach students aged 16-18 and adults across our friendly and high-performing department. We are particularly interested in hearing from ESOL teachers with experience of teaching Functional Skills Maths to ESOL learners.
Our classes take place on our three campuses: St Albans, Welwyn Garden City and Borehamwood. Teaching could be on full time ESOL 16-18, part time adult ESOL (day or evening), part-time EFL or community-based courses. Hours are flexible across the week.
Essential requirements:
Teaching qualification e.g., minimum of Cambridge CELTA, Trinity Certificate in TESOL or ESOL Level 4 Subject Specialism.
One year's relevant teaching experience
An ability to deal effectively with the necessary quality paperwork associated with government-funded programmes.
Desirable:
A PGCE, Level 5 Diploma or Cambridge DELTA
Experience of teaching basic literacy to ESOL students
