Job introduction

We require a Learning Mentor to join our team, providing support and guidance for our most vulnerable children.

City Academy Whitehawk is a vibrant two form entry primary school with a nursery, serving an East Brighton Community.  Our school was judged ‘Good’ with and ‘Outstanding’ Early Years in Autumn 2018 and since then we have gone from strength to strength.  We are proud to report that the children under our care are thriving.

We have an extremely committed and dedicated staff team, who are determined to improve outcomes for children. Our Learning Mentors play a vital role in the inclusive education of our pupils, working with children who have social and emotional needs and those with behavioural difficulties. The successful candidate will need an excellent understanding of these need and the strategies to support children with them. Experience of working within nurture provision would be beneficial.

  • A proven record of exceptional welfare and pastoral support.
  • Excellent Professional Development opportunities.
  • A spacious, well equipped and well resourced learning environment.
  • Energetic, skilled and supportive colleagues.
