Job Introduction

This is a newly created role which gives you the opportunity to work with a dedicated team of staff delivering M&E, Fire and Asbestos services across our portfolio.

The M&E, Fire and Asbestos team operates across all tenures and you will need to develop and maintain effective relationships with senior staff across the business to succeed. You’ll provide inspirational leadership and guidance to your team, supporting them to deliver strong and effective management of contractors.

You will lead a series of process reviews to make sure our services are delivered efficiently for the benefit of our residents and business, focussing in particular on M&E repairs. We want our services to be responsive, efficient and cost effective and positively contribute to resident satisfaction. You’ll improve our already high levels of compliance in electrical safety and asbestos management.

Role Responsibilities

You will be responsible for M&E services as diverse as passenger and domestic lifts, door entry systems, fire safety equipment and automatic gates, doors and barriers. You will also lead the team managing the FRA programme along with the actions that result from those assessments. The asbestos register and asbestos management plan are also under your remit.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who knows what good looks like in terms of the delivery of these services but wants to achieve more than this. This is absolutely a leadership role, but we believe it’s important that our leaders understand enough about the detail to help them quickly understand the challenges and then plan to address them.

Did you once work on the tools yourself? Working knowledge of at least some of the services you’ll be overseeing would be a distinct advantage.

If this sounds like the challenge you are looking for, we would love to hear from you.
