Peabody have an opportunity for an experienced Handyperson to join the Home Improvement team as Bank Staff. Peabody's Home Improvement Agency work within the community to offer advice and practical measures to enable people living in the area to stay safe in their own homes and retain their independence.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team providing a high quality, comprehensive handyperson and small works service. We offer a professional, customer focused service for older, vulnerable and disabled homeowners and tenants. This rewarding role will include addressing a variety of small works, house clearances and DIY type jobs as well as providing advice on practical, security and fire risk measures that can be taken to reduce the likelihood of accidents and incidents within the home, helping to promote independence and wellbeing.
The position requires:
A multi-skilled individual, with a minimum of 2 years previous experience. You will need to have access to a vehicle of which you may claim mileage therefore you must be able to drive and hold a full clean driving licence.
Working flexibly across Kent this role will suit someone who likes to drive and travel for their role and has great people skills.
Ability to react and adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
Good standards of general fitness and must be able to climb stairs, ladders, lifting and carrying etc.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 - 17:00, on an ad hoc when needed basis. You will be required to work in a flexible manner as the service requires it.
An enhanced DBS check will need to completed.
