There has never been a more exciting time to enter social work management with Newham, as we continue driving towards our target of becoming a centre of excellence for children’s social care by 2023.

As part of our caseload reduction restructure we have created an Assistant Team Manager (ATM) role within the 10/2 Team in the Divert! Service.

Divert! is a multidisciplinary service that works intensively with children who are at risk of extra familial harm in the community and / or at risk of entering the care of the local authority. We aim to bring about positive change, enabling children to remain safely with their families and in their communities.

Joining Newham as we continue on our improvement journey will be an invaluable experience and will improve any practitioner’s CV. The ATM role is an ideal gateway to management, and with the opportunities brought through change there are great prospects for ATMs that join us to progress whilst driving our improvement forward.

Apply now, and be part of our success.

The 10/2 team is a small team of case holding social workers, positioned within a multidisciplinary specialist service. The team provide a response to contextual harm, carrying smaller caseloads than other social work team, to enable flexible intensive relationship work that is based on systemic approaches and supported by the wider team and a clinical lead.
