About the role

Our Educational Psychologist positions offer a competitive salary from Soulbury Scale A, point 5-8, plus the opportunity to progress through three SPA (Structured Professional Assessment) points.

We have a vibrant and developing traded service in Hillingdon and this has led to team expansion. We have ongoing and emerging commissioned work in ELSA, developing the SEMH pathway, working with early years, youth justice, and the virtual school. We would like new team members to contribute to the ongoing progression of our service.

You will work collaboratively with schools, early years' providers, colleges and other educational settings, as well as a range of professionals and agencies, to help every child and young person to succeed as an effective learner. You will have the opportunity to work within the service across all settings and age groups from 0-25 years.

The role of Contact EPs afford the EPs in our service the opportunity to develop collaborative and longer-term relationships with service-users.

About you

We are looking for a creative and flexible Educational Psychologists or Trainee Educational Psychologists in their third year of training. Most importantly, we seek EPs who are committed to supporting the inclusion of vulnerable children and young people.

Alongside your degree in Psychology, you will have knowledge of relevant and current legislation, including the SEND Code of Practice and the Children and Families Act. You will also have an ability to assess and develop interventions for individual children and young people and experience of working at various levels with both individuals and groups, and at a school system level.

Effective communications skills are also vital, including an ability to write meaningful and user-friendly feedback following EP involvement.
