- Working hours: Full time (36 hpw) or 4 days/week

- Salary grade: Soulbury EIP 12 – 15 + 3 SPAs plus OLW
- Salary: £50,541 - £54,598 including SPAs to a maximum of £58,350 plus OLW (£2,157) pro-rata
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Schools and Settings Improvement Team in BELS (Barnet Education and Learning Service) for a new Early Years Standards Lead to take over from our existing postholder, who has been successful in gaining a promotion.
The role of the Early Years Standards Lead provides the professional lead responsibility for early years within the School and Settings Improvement Team. The post promotes, develops and provides guidance, support and intervention for the provision of high-quality care and education across all sectors in the borough in line with the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This includes schools, registered settings within the private, voluntary and independent sector, children’s centres and childminders.
To role benefits from working closely with colleagues in the School and Settings Improvement Team, under the direction and management of the Director of School Improvement, to promote the development of high quality care and education across schools and registered settings in the Local Authority (LA) within the private, voluntary and independent sector and Children’s Centres in line with the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage. The post holder line manages two EY Advisory Teachers and two Childminding Quality and Support Officers.
