There is a vacancy within Croydon’s Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Service for the role as a Child Protection Chair
Within this role you will need to have a good understanding of the role of the CP chair where you will be able to chair child protection conferences, contextual safeguarding meetings and some child in need meetings when required. As a CP Chair you are critical in the effectiveness of planning for the children and young people, to ensure that there is timely interventions so that plans are made into reality. We are looking for enthusiastic, committed professional who want to make a difference and meet this challenge.
The successful candidate must have a sound background in children’s safeguarding and child protection conferences. You will need to be able to build respectful relationships with children and their families when they are at their most vulnerable. You will also need to have good communication skills, chairing skills, and be able to evaluate information and develop strategies in a multi-agency forum. Experience of working within a systemic practice model is desirable but not essential. We are looking for people who are open to exploring new and creative ways of working with children, young people and their families and the professional network.
