EMAS (part of Children, Families and Learning) are recruiting a Dari speaker to take on role of Bilingual Liaison Assistant.

About the role

Do you have experience of working with children?

In this job of Bilingual liaison Assistant you will:

  • use your mother tongue skills and English to support children for whom English is an additional language.
  • work with EMAS teachers and school/pre-school staff to help children who speak your mother tongue. 
  • this role involves travel between schools and pre-schools
  • act as a link between home and school to enable effective communication and partnership. This can take place either in the home or school.

You will be a native speaker of Dari and also have fluent spoken and written English.

Casual Contract (working during school term time only).

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.

Work Permits: This role does not meet the requirement for UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System. Successful candidates will need to evidence that they have the Right to Work in the UK.
