About the Role

We are currently looking for two Project Apprentices to support the delivery of exciting transformational projects for our residents.

You will be working on projects within one of the following departments.

  • Brighter Futures: Our strategic priority to make Newham the best place for children and young people to thrive.
  • Change & Insight: Supporting a range of projects to improve outcomes for residents.

We are looking for Project Apprentices to support transformational projects that put people at the heart of everything we do. We are keen to hear from people with interest in developing relevant knowledge, skills and experience in project management, in line with the Associate Project Manager apprenticeship standard.

Ultimately the roles take responsibility for directly supporting projects, working closely with our Project Managers, Programme Managers and Assistant Directors of Improvement and Change; as well as drawing on resources from a wide-range of multi-disciplinary teams. Our projects are centred on delivering better outcomes to Newham’s residents and working to ensure the financial sustainability of the council through increasing income and delivering savings.

About You

You will have an interest in project management and service design approaches that put people at the heart of how we design, create and redesign services.

We are looking for team members who are:
