Assistant Team Managers – Grade 15 (£46,839 - £48,819)
Social Work with Children with Disabilities
Are you passionate about improving the lives of children and families? Are you a skilled professional who puts children at the heart of your practice? If so, this could be the opportunity for you.
Croydon is transforming its approach to Children with Disabilities, radically changing the way we work with children and families to ensure they are offered the right help, at the right time, and in the right way to make a difference.
In Croydon our children and young people are at the heart of everything we do. This is an exciting time to join a service that is on an energetic journey of improvement. Benefiting from an experienced and permanent management team alongside an innovative approach to practice, Croydon is now looking for Assistant Team Managers (ATMs) to help support our social workers to deliver the very best service and care to our Children, Young People and their families.
As an ATM you will supervise up to five Social Workers / Family Support Workers and support your Team Manager to lead an outstanding service for Children with Disabilities.
If you are enthusiastic and passionate and want to make a real difference in children and young people’s lives in Croydon, then we would like to hear from you.
To be considered for these posts you will be a registered social worker. It is essential that you have a proven record of delivering high quality services for vulnerable children and young people as a corporate parent. You have experience of working in a statutory children’s social care setting and have an excellent working knowledge and understanding of legislative framework, best practice and polices relating to children’s social care.
You will have had experience of supervising practitioners, either social work students or other qualified staff and have the skills and experience to supervise social and non-social work staff.
In return for your passion, hard work and commitment we can offer you a supportive working environment with regular reflective one to one and group supervision and an excellent learning and development offer to further enhance your skills and expertise. The council supports flexible and agile working, offers a generous annual leave allowance and a range of staff benefits for you to access.
Interested? We would love to hear from you!
