Islington HR is reshaping its services. We’re realigning our service provision to put digital, learning and innovation at the heart of what we do. We’re creating 3 new functions – HR Customer Delivery, Organisational Development and Strategic HR Partnering. By joining the team, you’ll play a vital role in enabling this, putting fairness and equality at the heart of everything we do – in our communities and our workplace.
You will pro-actively lead on Employee Relations’ policy and practice development and build constructive relationships with our Trade Unions to facilitate effective implementation of policies and procedures and the embedding of HR best practice via the council’s employee relations framework. You will be the council’s HR expert on case and employment law, providing high quality consultancy advice to HR and managers within the council. You will build constructive networks with national and regional officers and partners to learn from industry practice and build the council’s standing as an employer of choice. You will also use data analysis and insights to drive improvements in our approach and provide inspirational and professional leadership to staff, strengthening skills and competence and fostering a strong culture of standards, performance and accountability.
