We are seeking an experienced programme manager with a passion for equality, diversity and inclusion and a track record of successful delivery against a varied and ambitious strategy that drives change and improvement across all services. They will work with teams across the Council to deliver a wide range of actions and projects that improve opportunity and inclusion for all staff and residents across the borough.
As the Council’s equality and inclusion expert, the role will often provide advice and guidance to the senior leadership, both officer and political, as well as making recommendations that shape future service delivery, strategy and culture. The role will identify and embed best practice across the organisation and within our policy framework and practices, working collaboratively with senior leadership across the wider organisation and with key partners and stakeholders, to deliver a work programme supporting and delivering service and performance improvement which are aligned to our equality outcomes.
The successful applicant will stay up to date with all equality and inclusion legislation and guidance and use this to ensure the organisation meets its statutory requirements. They will have in depth local and national government policy knowledge, and how this impacts and influences issues in Croydon. They will be a skilled communicator ready to create and deliver messages internally and externally.
