Job introduction

We are looking for a clerk who will provide high level advice, support and administrative assistance to our governing body.  This involves arranging meetings, taking minutes, keeping records and advising the governing body on local and national guidance and good practice for school governance.

Paid weeks per year: 52

Start date: September 2021

 

 

About the role

You must have experience of minute-taking, good ICT and communication skills and be able to work with minimal supervision. Training for clerks is provided by the local authority, as well as opportunities to network with other clerks. The school subscribes to the LA’s Governor Support service.

Flexibility in terms of working hours is required. The school’s normal pattern is 4 full Governing Body and six committee meetings a year. All meetings are currently being held virtually.  Clerking any working groups and panels by agreement would be paid extra hours.
