The City of London hosts the commissioning function for the pan London substance misuse programme. This exciting new programme will see several pan-London treatment services commissioned for rough sleepers, and others, with a substance misuse need. The work is being undertaken on behalf of all London local authorities, Public Health England and the Greater London Authority.
A new commissioning team is being put in place at the City of London to manage the programme and we are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Programme Support Officer to join this small team.
The Programme Support Officer will play an important role in managing the charging and partnership relationships between the City, the providers and participating local authorities, ensuring that contractual documents are signed, purchase orders raised, and invoices issued in accordance with the agreed arrangements. This will require a methodical approach to record keeping and a good degree of numeracy. The postholder will also ensure key stakeholder meetings are programmed and serviced (including minute-taking), and that key programme documents are kept updated.
The post is initially advertised as a 12 month fixed term contract but there may be scope for this to be extended. We would welcome secondments assuming that the permission of your current line manager has been obtained.
It’s a varied role, with lots of partnership working, and will support the delivery of an important City of London commissioning programme.
Closing date: 12 noon on 18 June 2021
