An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Council’s Information Governance and Complaints Team as a Senior Information Governance and Complaints Officer.
This role is required to assist the Council in complying with its statutory obligations under Information Law such as the Data Protection Act 2018, Freedom of Information 2000 and Environmental Information Regulations 2004.
The role also involves management of children’s and adults statutory complaints, corporate complaints, investigating complex cases and writing detailed responses.
The post holder will provide advice and guidance to complainants, elected Members, information requesters and staff including senior managers within all Council services.
Knowledge and experience of Information Law and complaints management would be essential as would use of an electronic case management system.
