Hillingdon Council have recently centralised the Brokerage and Direct payment model and function in order to develop and standardise practice across all teams. An integrated service will allow the council to work in a more proactive way with partners across the market, ensuring there is a range of quality provision for service users to access.
About the role
We are recruiting several Brokerage Officers to join our new Integrated Team.
As a Brokerage Officer you will provide a dedicated service to vulnerable children, young people and Adults purchasing effective care and education arrangements following an assessment.
You will work closely with providers, health partners and social care colleagues, monitoring the performance and quality of providers to ensure the highest standard of service is available to our customers.
You will manage a varied workload including children & Adults requiring short notice and planned residential placements/support packages, educational support and Home Care.
The role will require you to maintain detailed records and negotiate fees in conjunction with colleagues in other departments.
Liaising with managers & colleagues in procurement to identify gaps in the market and potential new providers.
