Caretaker

Accountable to: Principal of Drapers’ Pyrgo Priory School

Aim:

We are seeking to appoint a highly effective, enthusiastic and experienced caretaker to join our friendly and supportive team. You will work with our existing caretaker as part of a team to make sure the school site is safe, secure and ready for use by pupils, staff and other school users. The site staff are expected to work flexibly and share an early and late shift and be pro-active in keeping the school safe and secure.

 

The right candidate will have a proven track record of working in maintenance and have general trade skills and a proactive attitude. The role is varied and includes cleaning responsibilities, repairs and maintenance, site safety and security, portering and other jobs as required. You will use an online system to log checks, and be expected to report jobs that cannot be dealt with in house so that contractors can be brought in as necessary.

Although the post will be located at Drapers’ Pyrgo Priory School, you could be asked to work in any of the Drapers’ Multi-Academy Trust Schools, as and when business needs require such cross-working between schools.
