Head of Adult Mental Health Social Care
Croydon Council are seeking to make a permanent appointment to the Head of Adult Mental Health Social Care, a key role within the Adult Social Care Directorate and the Croydon Integrated Adult Mental Health Service in partnership with South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLAM).
As a Head of Service you will have responsibility for a revenue budget of approximately £10m spanning care packages, staffing and voluntary sector contracts. You will be responsible for 52 w.t.e. social care staff and for a wider staff group of health employed staff within the integrated service fulfilling delegated statutory duties under the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Mental Health Act 1983 and Human Rights Act 1998.
You will lead the social care agenda within Adult Mental Health services working across organisational and geographical boundaries to achieve the best outcomes for the residents of Croydon. You will be aware of the financial challenges facing local authorities but bring a positive 'can-do' attitude to inspire staff to work within the resources available and deliver the best value for every pound of Croydon tax-payers money.
