We are looking for a motivated person to join our vibrant team of Food Safety Professionals.
For an informal discussion about the job role please contact David Currie, Regulatory Services Manager on 07596 886568.
About the role
An opportunity has arisen to recruit a Technical Officer or Senior Technical Officer (dependant on qualifications, experience and competency) to join our Food Safety and Health & Safety Team. You may be a fully qualified, experienced and competent Food Safety Officer or you may be working towards a ‘suitable qualification’ requirement as described in the Food Law Code of Practice. If the latter, we can facilitate practical on the job training to enable you to develop your career and achieve your goal.
Applications are welcomed from newly qualified Environmental Health Officers and students who have completed or are on their way to completing the Higher Certificate in Food Control.
This is an exciting prospect for a motivated person to join our vibrant team of Food Safety Professionals. You will have a good knowledge and experience of Food Safety or you will be working towards the development of this.
You will possess the ability to think on your feet and be up for a challenge. You will also understand attention to detail, be motivated and provide a high level of customer service and be an excellent communicator.
Working within a team you will have the ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues and be able to work well both within the team and on your own initiative.
You will also have a flexible approach to work and be able to work well under pressure, manage your own workload and prioritise your work to meet deadlines.
For an informal discussion about the job role please contact David Currie, Regulatory Services Manager on telephone 07596 886568.
Work Permits: We may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System. Please see Gov.uk for more information on the Skilled Worker Visa.
We welcome applications from all sections of the community but particularly encourage applicants from a BME or White Other background as well as those who identify as male or trans as these groups are currently under-represented in our Directorate workforce.
