Senior Clerk to Governors
Job introduction
We are looking for a clerk who will provide high level advice, support and administrative assistance to our governing body. This involves arranging meetings, taking minutes, keeping records and advising the governing body on local and national developments that will impact on their work.
Paid weeks per year: 52
Start date: February 2021
About the role
You must have experience of minute-taking, good ICT and communication skills and be able to work with minimal supervision. Training for clerks is provided by the local authority, as well as opportunities to network with other clerks.
Flexibility in terms of working hours is required. The full governing body and committees meet as follows:
- Full Governing Body - 6 times a year between the hours of 1730-1930 at School.
- Committee Meetings - up to 12 meetings (4 per committee) during the academic year. All of which take place during or just outside of school hours.
You maybe be required to clerk additional meetings and panels as required.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
