The award-winning Rural Activities Garden Centre (RAGC), seeks a Horticultural Therapist to join its successful team.
About the role
This is an exciting job opportunity for someone who enjoys horticultural activities and supporting others to develop in confidence and learn new gardening skills.
Working within the RAGC team, you will use your horticultural knowledge and skills, to ensure work carried out is in line with the expected high standards.
You will work directly with gardeneers, who are volunteers with learning disabilities to help them develop personally, socially, gain confidence, independence and a sense of well-being. You will also provide direct instruction to the volunteers so that they have a clear direction to support the ongoing team activities.
As the ideal candidate, you will have a flexible approach to easily fit into the dynamic team of existing Horticultural Therapists.
You will be required to successfully implement new ideas in an ever-changing environment.
In this post you will be expected to work weekends as part of a rota system.
