Emotional Literacy Practitioner
Hours: 12 - 16 hours per week, dependent upon the candidate
Grade: Grade 3 points 5 - 9 (dependent upon experience)
Full Time Salary: £22,185 - £23,826 p.a.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, well organised and skilled and person to support pupils within the school as Emotional Literacy Practitioner. The successful candidate should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, relate well to children and possess qualifications and training in relevant field.
You are expected to work using your own initiative within the learning environment. You must have a flexible attitude and be able to react to different situations throughout the school day using your knowledge and experience within the learning environment.

We are looking for a Practitioner who:
Has experience of working within a school.
Is Knowledgeable of Boxall Profiles and their use preferred.
Can plan and deliver individualised programmes of support for children to develop their emotional literacy, including:
− awareness of own and other people’s emotions
− development of an increased range of emotional vocabulary
− management of stress, grief, anger and conflict
− development of social interaction skills
− development of the ability to initiate and maintain friendships
− promotion of a realistic self-concept and good self-esteem.
You will be enthusiastic and highly motivated.
You will be friendly, caring, hardworking with high expectations.
You will be well qualified or able to demonstrate complex understanding of Trauma Impact and or / psychology.
Applicants MUST have GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
