About the role
This role will report to Commissioning Programme Manager and will have supervisory/management responsibility for a number of staff.
The post holder is required to manage programmes and projects in conjunction with a range of partners within and outside the organisation, to be responsible for delivering projects that have significant risk and/ or significant budgets or savings targets (e.g. c£10m) in conjunction with operational colleagues, external stakeholders and independent providers that result in improved outcomes for service users.
The post holder should demonstrate experience of commissioning new initiatives and of delivering projects that result in substantial change, with experience of working with service users, service colleagues and partners to create change that is co-designed.
The successful candidate will also have experience engaging with providers and creating an atmosphere of partnership and cooperation to deliver positive outcomes, including the ability to negotiate, influence and work in partnerships.
The post holder will also need to have excellent report writing and oral communication skills, along with experienced in project development and excellent presentation skills.
