Cherry Tree Nursery is one of Brighton and Hove City Council Children’s Centre Nurseries. We operate five nurseries across the City and provide a high quality service for children aged from 3 months to 5 years. We are open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm.
We are seeking an administrator for maternity cover. the role is for 30 hours per week ideally working Mon-Fri 8am-2pm, but this maybe slightly negotiable for the right candidate.

Fixed term for: 11 months starting 1 May 2020 (or ASAP) until 31 March 2021
About the role
Cherry Tree Nursery is located within Hollingdean Children’s Centre which has been purpose built to meet the needs of young children and their families. The nursery is open plan and provides children with lots of space to play and learn. We have a large garden space where children can climb trees, plant vegetables, ride bikes and explore nature. We have a play based approach to learning in a fun, happy and calm atmosphere.

We are currently looking for a caring, motivated and organised person to join our team.
We are looking for someone who is confident interacting with people and young children, has experience using computer programs such as word and excel, working with income and finances, and filing and keeping records up to date.
The role involves ordering from and paying suppliers, invoicing parents, collecting fees, banking cash, writing letters and emails to parents, greeting visitors, answering telphone calls and dealing with enquiries, creating and laminating resources and labels for children, using the nursery database to record childrens details, and keeping children pjysical files up to date. On occasion you may also be called to support staff working directly with children.
