Join Camden’s new estates management service
We are looking for talented people to join our new estates management service which launches in 2020. A local team to support residents and keep their homes clean and safe, this new service will play an important part in our communities and has been shaped by the people who call our council houses home.
Estates management is hugely important to the council and residents. The newly launched service will include highly trained caretakers who will be focused on providing a more local service and keeping our residents safe.

The window cleaning team will complement the work undertaken by caretaking colleagues: in particular by providing a visible presence and a high quality service for our residents. The team holds the responsibility for the delivery of the window cleaning programme for communal windows and glass cleaning. The team’s duties includes: achieving a high standard of cleanliness to the council’s stock (in line with regulations and safety), the reporting of any hazards, maintaining cleaning equipment, and responding effectively to customer queries. As well as this, you’ll assist in the delivery of various other projects by the Estate Management Group in relation to this area or associated service area. Working independently and with colleagues and other stakeholders.
You will have knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety, use of chemicals, the Data Protection Act, hazard reporting and manual handling. Specific experience of window cleaning and safety awareness is desirable.
You will have experience and knowledge of IT systems and associated skills such as communicating effectively both verbally and in writing. Alongside this, you will possess the ability to work independently using your own initiative with minimum supervision as well as being a team player.
To succeed you will ensure that customer care standards are adhered to at all times.
You will hold a full and clean UK driving licence and prepared to drive Council supplied vehicle to undertake the role where applicable.
