The role is to manage the Brady Arts and Community Centre and the Kobi Nazrul Arts Centre. To ensure that both buildings are in a good safe condition and that they are used to full capacity in delivering services and generating income.
Management of staff, personnel of which may change from time to time according to restructures within the council.Responsible for health and safety of staff, tenants and centre users. Developing the cultural programmes through partnerships with external organisations and supporting activities and events. Develop the equipment resource bank and use of studio theatre and arts room at the Brady Meet the income targets for hire of rooms. Budget management. Produce reports and carry out monitoring of users as required.
Key requirements are:
Experience of managing buildings with multiple uses and tenants. Ensuring good quality well maintained facilities.Experience of supporting cultural activity programmes. Experience of managing staff Experience of managing budgets Experience of managing events Able to work flexible hours

This is a challenging position for the right candidate who will have a sound knowledge of what's required to keep the two centres in a fit state to deliver services for a large and diverse client group. Both buildings are also arts venues and we require someone with experience of supporting and developing an arts programme and develop positive productive relationships with external cultural partners.
The post involves occasional evening and weekend work covering event bookings. You may also occasionally be asked to help support events in other council premises. Your line manager will be the Head of Arts Parks and Events.
