FIXED TERM CONTRACT FOR EXTERNAL APPLICANTS OR SECONDMENT OPPORTUNITY FOR EALING COUNCIL EMPLOYEES FOR 24 months
We wish to appoint a motivated, dynamic individual to our street trading team. This is a fixed-term contract to update our street trading policy, to help establish new services and processes, and to expand the street trading business. The successful applicant will be expected to work largely independently, meet hard deadlines, and think creatively.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience with street trading issues at the local government level as well as experience working to high standards in a multi-cultural environment. The Council is changing the way we licence street trading activity, and you will be an integral part of this exciting new change. If you do not have previous street trading experience, we will accept the right candidate with research experience, report writing experience, and a willingness to learn. Creative problem-solving experience is a must.
Applicants will be asked to put together a presentation on a set topic as part of the initial interview, so please keep this in mind when applying. This role is deemed customer facing and as such you must have a command of spoken English which is sufficient to enable you to effectively perform the role. This requirement relates to Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.

The position is for a fixed period of 24 months. External applicants will be offered a fixed-term contract and existing Ealing council employees will be offered the opportunity of a secondment.
