Business Support Manager - Permanency, Looked After Children and Care Leavers
Salary: £33,291 – £35,724 per annum
We are currently looking to recruit a Service Support Manager to oversee the smooth running of the Looked After Service within Children’s Social Care.
The Looked After service and leaving care support young people in care and those achieving permanence. it involves supporting services such as fostering, adoption, looked after children and those young people leaving care
In undertaking the role you will be expected to provide effective, high quality and proactive support to the Head of Service and senior managers within Looked After and leaving care service. This will include responsibility for up to 10 staff who provide administrative support within the service.
The role of the Service Support Manager incorporates a high level of performance data management activity
You will need to have considerable experience working in a local authority setting and specifically in Children’s Social Care. We are explicitly looking for candidates who have strong performance data management skills including the ability to analyse data reports. In addition to this candidates should have previous experience of managing and developing staff; highly developed IT skills and preferably a knowledge of using Mosaic client database; recruitment; financial management; budget planning; event management and staff supervision.
This is a very busy post and it will be essential for the successful candidate to be adept at managing conflicting demands and prioritising workload.
