Lead Commissioner – Community Support and Active Lives, Grade 17 £55,638 to £57,735

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a commissioning team responsible for strengthening services in the community, making the most of community assets. The role will work collaboratively with Croydon’s integrated locality teams and residents to co-design new community options.

We are looking for a dynamic and creative leader to develop social care solutions wrapped around our Community Led Support approach. You and your team will shape a diverse, high quality market across the borough. You will lead the transformation of day care services care and support in the home as well as shaping a market for direct payment holders.

If you are an innovative commissioner, not accepting of the status quo, you should consider this role. You should have a track record of improving services and support in the community for residents. You will have strong budget management skills, seeing opportunities to create efficiencies across the market. You will also be familiar with social care procurement and robust contract management. You will be an effective communicator able to contribute to strategic discussion regarding health and care in Croydon.
