This role is based at one of our flagship multi tenure estates, Stratford Halo, which includes a variety of different home types to meet the needs of our varied and diverse customer groups.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented, customer-focussed and forward thinking Multi-Skilled Maintenance Supervisor to work in delivering a maintenance service throughout the estate as well as within residential homes.
In this role you’ll be responsible for developing a pre-planned maintenance schedule for the whole estate. Reporting directly to the Estate Operations Manager you will head up a service that will be responsible for diagnosing and completing a range of repairs and maintenance tasks, including undertaking planned and responsive repairs for tenants, staff, void properties and communal areas (internal and external). Because of this, it’s paramount that you have a number of skills from other recognised trades i.e. carpentry, plumbing, tiling and electrical work. You will be a first responder in cases of emergency and will be trusted to provide a high quality service in accordance with the relevant safety regulations.
Your work will be crucial in meeting our resident’s needs, therefore your expertise to carry out inspections of Mechanical and Electrical equipment, some of which will be highly complex, and use your knowledge to ensure we are compliant with relevant health and safety regulations will be central to your success. You’ll use your management skills to coach and support an apprentice as well as managing the performance of external contractors to establish a responsive and well managed maintenance service.
This is a hands-on role at the heart of the service that the Estate delivers to our customers, so your effective communication skills and ability to understand with empathy, the diverse needs of our customers will be key.
