Redbridge is changing. We are among the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London Borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively cheap housing, high quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of city. Our population is getting both younger and older. The pace of change is phenomenal. We have started to address our new challenges by adopting a model for the council based upon high ambition and high trust. Ambition because we are the custodians of this precious part of East London: we care about its future and we want to get it right for our residents. Trust, because we believe in the ability of our staff and our communities to find ways to seize this once in a generation opportunity.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic individual with an excellent proven background in enforcement work. The successful applicant will have extensive knowledge is tackling Anti- Social Behaviour and using their experience and knowledge to solve local problems working with communities and partners towards long term tangible results. This post will be based in the Community Protection Team and will be responsible for supervising enforcement staff, leading on enforcement action and driving a high profile busy front line team.

We are looking for an outstanding candidate who will be able to demonstrate their ability to deliver a range of enforcement functions and implement our new noise service. This is a fast paced position, for an individual who is able to supervise joint operations, deliver officers briefing sessions and represent the team in partnership meetings across the organisation and with external partners.

Interviews for this role will take place week commencing 11th November 2019.

Ambitious for Redbridge
